Your duties will involve preparing shipping documents, verifying order details, coordinating with carriers, and managing the loading of outgoing freight. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our shipping process, from order confirmation to final dispatch. A meticulous approach to documentation and a strong understanding of shipping procedures are vital. You'll also be responsible for tracking shipments and resolving any issues that may arise during transit. We place a high emphasis on safety, requiring the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strict adherence to all safety guidelines. Key Responsibilities:
- Process all outgoing shipments accurately and on schedule.
- Generate and verify shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documents.
- Coordinate with trucking companies and other carriers for pickup and delivery.
- Inspect outgoing packages for accuracy and proper packaging.
- Maintain organized shipping records and provide tracking information.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
- Ensure all shipping activities comply with company policies and safety regulations.
- Assist with tasks involving moderate Lifting as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role. Proficiency with shipping software and general office applications. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of warehouse and logistics operations. Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting.
