Our dynamic **logistics** hub in Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking skilled Forklift Operators to join our dedicated team. This position is critical for the efficient and **safe** movement of goods throughout our expansive warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. You must possess excellent **safety** awareness, proficiency in operating machinery, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We are committed to providing a secure workplace, which includes strict adherence to **PPE** requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial equipment to move materials.
- Load and unload pallets and other materials from trucks and into racking systems.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, ensuring aisles are clear and hazards are minimized.
- Follow all **safety** procedures and company policies to ensure a secure work environment.
- Properly stack and store materials, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, including cycle counts and stock location verification.
- Wear all required **PPE**, such as **safety** vests, gloves, and **safety** shoes.
- Contribute to overall **logistics** efficiency through prompt and accurate material handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Valid **forklift** operator certification.
- Proven track record of **safe** operation and adherence to **safety** regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including **lifting** up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse **safety** protocols and the importance of **PPE**.
- Good spatial awareness and coordination.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
