We are seeking a skilled Reach Truck Operator to join our growing logistics team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve inventory within our high-bay warehouse. Your expertise is critical for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring timely order fulfillment. You will perform regular duties such as loading and unloading trailers, replenishing stock, and transporting goods to designated storage areas. A strong focus on safety is paramount; you must adhere to all operational procedures, conduct daily equipment inspections, and consistently wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Operate reach truck safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve palletized goods.
- Perform pre-shift checks and routine maintenance on reach truck equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trailers and other transport vehicles.
- Replenish inventory stock in designated warehouse locations.
- Transport goods to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper scanning and data entry.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including warehouse safety rules and PPE requirements.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Report any equipment issues or safety concerns to management immediately.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse environment.
- Valid reach truck operator certification or license.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Excellent spatial awareness and maneuverability skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using PPE correctly.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
