We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist for our St. Louis, Missouri warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy of our inventory data, optimizing stock levels, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our logistics operations. You will be responsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures, conducting audits, and resolving discrepancies. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data integrity.
- Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between inventory records and physical stock.
- Develop, implement, and refine inventory control procedures and policies.
- Analyze inventory trends and recommend strategies for optimization.
- Manage the receiving and put-away process to ensure accurate stock placement.
- Oversee the returns process, including inspection, disposition, and credit processing.
- Ensure compliance with all warehouse safety standards and proper use of PPE.
- Generate and present regular inventory reports to management, highlighting key metrics and insights.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (WMS) and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and perform tasks requiring standing and walking for extended periods.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and the importance of wearing appropriate PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
