We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our state-of-the-art facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout our warehouse. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, storing, and organizing raw materials, components, and finished goods. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of material handling equipment and safety protocols. Your duties will include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to transport materials between different areas of the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining inventory accuracy. This position requires physical strength, excellent spatial awareness, and a commitment to workplace safety. You will be required to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety guidelines to prevent accidents. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving material flow issues is highly valued. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and production areas.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Organize and maintain inventory in warehouse storage areas.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification.
- Ensure all materials are handled in accordance with safety regulations.
- Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
- Must be proficient in Lifting up to 70 lbs.
- Support overall warehouse logistics and flow of goods.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid forklift operator certification preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and material handling best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Good communication skills.
