We are seeking a fun, energetic, dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary therapy team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized therapy services in an outpatient clinic. This role involves developing and implementing individualized care plans to support children’s developmental, sensory, and motor skills, with a focus on enhancing their independence and quality of life. The Pediatric Occupational Therapist will collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care.
*Responsibilities*
* Assess children’s functional abilities and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their developmental needs.
* Assist children with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to improve independence in self-care tasks.
* Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, and overall functional performance.
* Collaborate with speech and physical therapists to coordinate care.
* Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic strategies, adaptive techniques, and home programs to support ongoing progress.
* Participate in discharge planning by evaluating progress and recommending appropriate follow-up services or referrals.
* Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and clinical notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
* Engage in case management activities to ensure continuity of care across different settings and in the community.
* Support children with a variety of conditions including autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, ADHD, feeding disorders, developmental delays, etc.
*Experience*
* Prior experience working with pediatric populations in outpatient clinics or schools is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with assisting children with ADLs and implementing discharge planning strategies.
* Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities is preferred.
* Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pediatric-specific care plans is essential.
* Strong case management skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams are important qualities for success in this role. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
