The Guelph Family Health Team is looking for a 
Communications Coordinator FTE, Permanent).

Reports to: 
Chief Executive Officer

Position Summary:

The Communications Coordinator plays a key role in advancing Guelph FHT's mission by delivering high-quality communications across digital, internal, and public-facing channels. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role supports strategic initiatives, strengthens organizational reputation, and ensures consistent, professional messaging that reflects our values.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create, edit, and design a wide range of content for digital platforms, social media, websites, presentations, and print materials.
  • Manage and grow social media presence through planning, scheduling, and performance analysis.
  • Maintain website content, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and optimal user experience.
  • Assist with organizational announcements and change-management communications to ensure timely, clear, and consistent information flow.
  • Uphold brand standards and visual identity across all communications.
  • Support leadership in developing the annual Communications Plan and producing the organization's annual report.
  • Contribute to the planning and promotion of organizational events, public campaigns, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Draft press releases, manage media relations, and monitor media coverage.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers (e.g., designers, photographers).
  • Tracks communication channels for engagement, reach, and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Degree/diploma in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of relevant communications or marketing experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), WordPress, and MS Office.
  • Strong skills in writing, editing, design, and project planning.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and collaborative skills.
  • Assets: Experience with Premiere Pro, Excel, or photography.
