We have an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler in our San Diego, California logistics facility. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and organization of goods within our warehouse. Your duties will encompass loading and unloading shipments, operating essential material handling equipment, and ensuring that all items are properly stored and staged. This position is vital for maintaining smooth warehouse operations and supporting our logistics network. The successful candidate will be physically capable, possess excellent attention to detail, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety. Prior experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is highly desirable. We strictly enforce all safety regulations, and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for all team members. Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming warehouse stock and materials.
- Pick and fill orders from stock efficiently and accurately.
- Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery safely.
- Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Experience with operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery is a strong plus.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
