Job Summary:
Our Charlotte, North Carolina facility is seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to manage the outbound flow of our products. This role is crucial for ensuring that all shipments are accurately documented, processed, and dispatched according to schedule. You will be responsible for coordinating with carriers, preparing shipping documents, and maintaining records. If you have a keen eye for detail and experience in logistics or shipping, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to our operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process all shipping documentation, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
  • Coordinate with common carriers and freight forwarders for shipment pickups and deliveries.
  • Verify that all outgoing shipments match customer orders and are properly packaged.
  • Track shipments and provide updates to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and files for audit purposes.
  • Conduct daily audits of shipping manifests and compare with loaded trucks.
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
  • Properly use and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks when necessary.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of the logistics department.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related administrative role.
  • Proficiency in using shipping software and common office applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Understanding of safe lifting practices.
  • Familiarity with various shipping methods and carrier requirements.
  • Willingness to wear required PPE.
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
