We're looking for enthusiastic Picker/Packers to join our growing team in Grand Rapids, Michigan! In this role, you'll be responsible for accurately selecting and packing customer orders, ensuring quality and efficiency in our logistics operations. Your attention to detail and ability to work quickly and safely will be key to success. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a vital part of the supply chain in a supportive warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order forms or RF scanner data.
- Carefully pack selected items into appropriate boxes or containers, ensuring product protection.
- Apply shipping labels and documentation to packages correctly.
- Perform quality checks to verify order accuracy and item condition before dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks to move products within the picking area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) consistently.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as assigned, contributing to overall logistics operations.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or general warehouse work is beneficial.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding and application of safe lifting practices.
- Willingness to use required PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Familiarity with logistics concepts is a plus.
