Become a key player in our San Jose, California operations as a Shipping Clerk! This position is essential for ensuring the timely and accurate dispatch of goods from our facility. You will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, verifying order accuracy, generating shipping labels, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining comprehensive shipping records. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a dedication to maintaining a safe and efficient logistics environment. Responsibilities:
- Prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
- Verify shipment details against orders and shipping manifests.
- Generate shipping labels and affix them to packages correctly.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipping records.
- Operate shipping equipment, such as scales and pallet jacks, safely.
- Communicate with internal teams and external partners regarding shipping status.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping dock area.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping or a related warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Proficiency with shipping software and carrier platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Understanding of logistics and shipping processes.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
