Our Distribution Center in Fort Worth, Texas is looking for a reliable Distribution Center Associate. This multifaceted role involves a wide range of responsibilities critical to the efficient operation of our logistics hub. You will be involved in all aspects of warehouse management, including receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, packing, and shipping. A strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork is essential. This position requires physical capability and a dedication to maintaining a highly organized and efficient work environment. You will be a vital part of our supply chain, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or other documentation.
- Sort, stock, and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations using inventory management systems.
- Accurately pick and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring correct items and quantities.
- Pack orders securely using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Operate various material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks (certification may be required).
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment, strictly adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times as mandated for specific tasks and areas.
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and assist in physical inventory audits.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or logistics role is strongly preferred.
- Must possess the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency in safe operation of equipment and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
