Join our fast-paced logistics operation as a Material Handler in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement of materials within the warehouse, ensuring that products are handled safely and efficiently. You will be instrumental in supporting our order fulfillment process and maintaining the integrity of our inventory. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and loading docks.
- Verify material counts and inspect for damage.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Keep work areas clean and free of obstructions.
- Support team members and assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 60 pounds, regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Team player with good communication abilities.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
