As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from our warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. This involves reading order tickets, locating products, and ensuring the correct items and quantities are selected. Following the picking process, you will carefully package these items to ensure they arrive safely at their destination. Accuracy and speed are paramount in this role. You will be an integral part of our logistics operations, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. Strict adherence to all safety protocols and the mandatory use of PPE are expected at all times. This role requires constant movement, including walking, standing, and frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs. We provide a supportive work environment and opportunities for growth. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse inventory using order lists and scanning devices.
- Verify product codes and quantities match order requirements.
- Pack selected items securely and efficiently into shipping cartons.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment as needed.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear designated PPE .
- Assist with receiving or restocking duties, which may involve lifting .
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily targets and ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret order sheets and product identifiers.
- Excellent attention to detail for order accuracy.
- Capacity to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Comfortable with regular lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and wear required PPE .
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory principles is a plus.
