We are looking for a certified and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials within our warehouse, ensuring smooth logistics operations. This role requires a keen understanding of forklift operation, adherence to Safety protocols, and the ability to work productively within a team. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Safely transport inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety procedures and company policies regarding forklift operation.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
- Ensure all loads are handled safely and efficiently.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting and maneuvering of materials up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of different types of forklifts and their operation.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to adhere to all company Safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
