We are hiring a Material Handler for our busy logistics facility in Houston, Texas. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving, transporting, and organizing raw materials and finished goods. A strong commitment to Safety is required, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strict adherence to all Safety regulations. The position involves frequent Lifting and requires physical stamina and the ability to operate material handling equipment. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and shipments.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, or shipping areas.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Stack, sort, and organize materials in designated locations.
- Assist with inventory management and stock counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures diligently.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform consistent Lifting of heavy items, up to 60 lbs.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow Safety guidelines.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of basic Logistics principles.
