Seeking a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics hub in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Shipping Clerk is a key member of our outbound operations, ensuring that all orders are accurately picked, packed, and dispatched to our customers. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, labeling packages, and maintaining the integrity of outgoing shipments. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of shipping procedures to support our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation for various carriers.
- Verify order accuracy against shipping manifests.
- Coordinate with truck drivers and delivery personnel.
- Package goods securely for shipment, ensuring no damage occurs.
- Maintain inventory of shipping supplies.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse environment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Familiarity with required PPE for warehouse environments.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
