Join our team as a Material Handler in Atlanta, Georgia! We are looking for dedicated individuals to support our fast-paced logistics operations. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. This role is essential for keeping the flow of goods consistent and efficient within our distribution center. You will utilize various equipment and follow strict safety guidelines to ensure a productive and secure work environment. This is a hands-on role that requires physical stamina and a commitment to teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Sort and move materials as directed.
- Load and unload freight.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
- Assist with inventory control and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain process.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 60 pounds.
- Good manual dexterity and coordination.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety practices.
- Familiarity with different types of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented logistics environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
