We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. You will play a vital role in our logistics operations, contributing to the timely delivery of products to our customers. Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
- Verify contents of outgoing shipments against orders.
- Coordinate with carriers for package pickup and delivery.
- Inspect packages for damage before shipment.
- Maintain organized shipping and receiving areas.
- Operate shipping software and equipment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Assist with inventory tasks as needed.
- May involve occasional manual Lifting of packages up to 40 lbs.
- Ensure efficient logistics flow for all outgoing shipments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a shipping clerk or in a logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform tasks that may include some Lifting.
- Understanding of Safety best practices in a warehouse environment.
- Good communication skills.
