We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Miami, Florida. This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including cycle counting, conducting regular audits, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions. Your expertise will ensure that our inventory records are precise and that stock levels are optimized for operational efficiency. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a well-organized and efficient logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
- Implement and monitor inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Manage the return process, ensuring accurate receipt and restocking.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve inventory-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct root cause analysis for inventory inaccuracies and develop preventative measures.
- This role may involve some lifting and moving of inventory items.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse management role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices in a logistics setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with safety protocols in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
