Seeking a skilled Material Handler for our facility in Provo, Utah. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in the smooth operation of our warehouse and logistics processes. Your responsibilities will include operating material handling equipment, moving inventory, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining an organized workspace. This role demands a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and teamwork. The ideal candidate will have experience with various types of material handling equipment and a thorough understanding of warehouse procedures. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and arrange materials, ensuring stability and proper organization.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming goods.
- Conduct daily inspections of material handling equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow all company safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory control activities, such as cycle counts.
- Contribute to overall warehouse productivity and efficient logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Certification and/or experience operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 60 lbs).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of logistics principles.
