We are seeking a highly capable and cross-functional Factory Application Engineer with a strong foundation in computer programming, electrical design, and mechanical systems. This role plays a critical part in the product development lifecycle, ensuring that complex systems are designed, tested, and supported with a holistic, systems-level approach. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across hardware and software domains and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, customer-focused solutions. Duties & Responsibilities
Contribute to the software and product test group by developing applications and test cases targeting Teradyne test equipment. Provide systems-level insight during product development. Assist in debugging product issues across electrical, mechanical, and software domains. Deliver technical support during product demonstrations. Stay current with evolving technologies. Design and implement automated test systems. Analyze and optimize thermal, electrical, and mechanical performance. Develop and maintain software tools and scripts. Create and maintain technical documentation. All About You

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Test Development, or Applications Engineering. Proficiency in software development using Python, C, C++, and/or C#, especially for hardware interfacing and automation. Experience with instrumentation programming, test program development, and automated test systems. Strong understanding of electrical design. Solid background in mechanical design. Familiarity with thermal management. Knowledge of software test methodologies. Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Compensation: The base salary range for this role is $137,700-$220,400. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location. Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance. This position is not eligible for relocation.
