Duties and Responsibilities
Include (but are not limited to) the following: Thoroughly understand all major components of Xilinx products and how they should be used. Staying abreast and trained on Xilinx's product portfolios Analysis of customer system and hardware requirements. Troubleshooting hardware issues at any stage of the design. Work closely with other FAEs to understand customer systems, diagnose issues, and implement new features. Assist customers with feature implementation from a system architecture and platform level. Replicate customer hardware issues in our labs and use appropriate test equipment to further diagnose. Promptly address customer technical questions via email, phone, WebEx and onsite when necessary. Communicate customer feedback to factory to help improve Xilinx products and better align with customer needs. Act as technical liaison between the customer and factory personnel for all hardware matters. Collaborate with field and factory resources to develop and deliver technical proposals to customer project managers, engineering managers, system architects and design engineers Demonstrate efficient use of Xilinx technology and competitive advantages to secure design wins Use factory supplied presentation and demonstration material to craft and deliver presentations and demos on Xilinx products, tools, and methodologies that align with customer's needs Job requirements
Strong background in one or more of the following markets: Wireless, Embedded Vision, Data Center or Industrial Knowledge and understanding of VHDL and/or Verilog, Tcl, C/C++, Python FPGA and/or ASIC design experience a must Knowledge of PCIe, Ethernet, or other high-speed serial IO protocols. System level design experience a plus Excellent written and verbal communications skills Team attitude, but also the ability to work independently Previous FAE experience is a plus Excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with customers Work Experience
Minimum experience required is typically 3+ years with bachelor's or equivalent. Education and Certification(s):
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained. Distinguishing Characteristics:
