Are you a skilled forklift operator? Our Boston, Massachusetts warehouse is looking for an experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the flow of goods within our facility and ensuring operational efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to pick, put away, and transport inventory within the warehouse.
- Safely navigate warehouse aisles and loading docks.
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Conduct daily inspections of the reach truck and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and locations.
- Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure all loads are secure and transported safely.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to meet operational goals.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Wear all required PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a forklift or reach truck operator in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in operating equipment and handling inventory.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE.
