Our Cincinnati, Ohio facility is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our operations and ensure seamless logistics. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong understanding of warehouse management, safety protocols, and team motivation. This role involves overseeing daily activities, managing inventory, and driving efficiency while maintaining a safe working environment for all staff. Your leadership will be key to achieving our operational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the activities of warehouse staff, including order pickers, packers, and forklift operators.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse operational procedures to optimize workflow.
- Ensure accurate inventory management through regular cycle counts and audits.
- Train and mentor new and existing employees on warehouse operations, safety procedures, and the proper use of equipment.
- Enforce strict adherence to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Monitor and manage productivity levels, setting performance goals and providing feedback.
- Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and transportation, to ensure smooth logistics.
- Investigate and resolve any operational issues or discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team.
- In-depth understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in safety regulations, including OSHA standards, and experience implementing safety programs.
- Ability to conduct training on proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Comfortable with physical demands, including regular standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
