Job Summary:
Our Nashville, Tennessee facility is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to manage the outbound flow of products. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring all outgoing shipments are accurate and on time. You will also handle labeling, tracking, and verifying shipment contents. This position is critical to our logistics operations, requiring strong administrative skills and an understanding of shipping procedures. The ideal candidate is proficient in using shipping software and has excellent communication abilities. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure seamless dispatch.
Responsibilities:
  • Generate and process shipping labels and documentation (e.g., BOLs, manifests).
  • Coordinate with transportation carriers for pick-up and delivery schedules.
  • Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments against order details.
  • Inspect packages for damage and ensure proper packaging and sealing.
  • Track shipments and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized shipping records and filing systems.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external carriers.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of trucks as needed, involving some lifting.
  • Contribute to the efficient execution of all logistics processes.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience as a shipping clerk or in a related logistics role.
  • Proficiency in shipping software and common office applications (MS Office).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Experience with manual lifting and pallet jacks.
  • Understanding of shipping and receiving procedures.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using appropriate PPE.
