We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for our facility in Huntsville, Alabama. If you have a proven track record of safe and efficient forklift operation and are looking for a stable role in a dynamic Logistics environment, this is the job for you. You will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth flow of materials within the warehouse, safely loading and unloading trucks, and supporting overall operational efficiency. A strong commitment to Safety and adherence to all protocols are critical.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack products and materials.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Safely transport goods between different areas of the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Follow all established Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure optimal Safety and efficiency.
- Properly wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Understand and follow instructions for various Logistics tasks.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to meet operational deadlines.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts.
- Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as Lifting (up to 60 lbs) and operating machinery.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and Logistics best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as required.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of Safety.
- Good communication skills.
