We are looking for a diligent Distribution Center Associate to join our state-of-the-art facility in Chicago, Illinois. This role is pivotal to our supply chain, ensuring the efficient processing and movement of goods. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will perform a wide range of duties, including receiving, stocking, order picking, packing, and preparing shipments. You will operate various types of warehouse equipment and will be expected to adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and best practices. The use of appropriate PPE is mandatory in all work areas. This position demands physical stamina for sustained activity, including frequent Lifting, and requires a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks. Prior experience in a distribution center or logistics environment is highly beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Process incoming shipments, verify quantities, and inspect for damage.
- Stock products in designated locations using appropriate equipment.
- Accurately pick orders using RF scanners and other tools.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring correct labeling and documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory control activities, such as cycle counts.
- Employ proper Lifting techniques to prevent injury.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or logistics role.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts).
- Ability to perform frequent and heavy Lifting, up to 75 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety protocols and the use of PPE.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts as required.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
