Join our growing logistics operation in Nashville, Tennessee, as a Shipping Clerk. This vital role involves managing and coordinating all outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, verifying order details, and coordinating with carriers for pickup and delivery. The ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Understanding of shipping software and processes is a significant advantage. This position plays a key part in our supply chain, guaranteeing that our customers receive their orders correctly and on schedule. We are committed to maintaining a safe working environment, and all team members are expected to follow strict safety guidelines and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role involves some manual lifting and requires the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and processing shipping documentation, including bills of lading and packing slips.
- Verifying that all orders are accurate and complete before shipment.
- Coordinating with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Tracking shipments and providing updates to internal teams and customers.
- Maintaining accurate shipping records and filing documentation.
- Communicating with warehouse and customer service teams to resolve any shipping discrepancies.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and warehouse procedures, including appropriate use of PPE.
- Assisting with general warehouse duties as needed, which may involve lifting up to 30 lbs.
