We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our warehouse operations in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be essential to the smooth and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods within the warehouse using pallet jacks and other equipment, and stocking inventory in designated areas. The ideal candidate is physically fit, safety-conscious, and possesses a strong work ethic. Experience with material handling equipment is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. You will play a crucial part in our logistics process, ensuring that materials are readily available for production or shipment. Accuracy and attention to detail are key to maintaining inventory integrity and preventing errors. We are committed to maintaining a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using pallet jacks, carts, and other equipment.
- Stock and organize inventory in assigned locations.
- Assist with order picking and staging for outgoing shipments.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Perform routine checks on material handling equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Report any damaged materials or safety hazards immediately.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stocktaking.
- Support warehouse supervisors and team members as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 75 lbs.
- Experience operating pallet jacks and other manual material handling equipment preferred.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
