Join our bustling warehouse as a Shipping Clerk in Raleigh, North Carolina! We are looking for a diligent individual to manage the outbound flow of our products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Your role is vital in our logistics network, bridging the gap between our warehouse and our valued customers. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a dedication to workplace safety. You will be responsible for generating shipping labels, confirming order details, and coordinating with freight forwarders. A key aspect of this role is ensuring all shipments meet regulatory requirements and company standards. The ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting packages, is essential. We are committed to providing a safe working environment and expect all employees to actively participate in safety programs, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Generate and affix shipping labels to packages.
- Double-check order information for accuracy before dispatch.
- Schedule and coordinate with transportation providers.
- Inspect outgoing goods for quality and completeness.
- Maintain organized shipping logs and update shipment statuses.
- Follow all established safety protocols and procedures.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track shipments.
- Provide support to other warehouse functions as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Experience in shipping operations or a similar logistics capacity is advantageous. Knowledge of shipping software is beneficial. Must be able to perform tasks requiring moderate lifting (up to 40 lbs). Capacity to work effectively in a team and unsupervised. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
