Our Omaha, Nebraska distribution center is looking for experienced Forklift Operators to join our skilled team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, load, unload, and store materials within the warehouse. This role requires precision, a keen awareness of your surroundings, and a strong commitment to safety protocols. You will play a critical role in the movement of goods, ensuring that inventory is handled properly and that workflow is maintained. Your expertise will directly contribute to the efficiency of our Logistics operations. A dedication to maintaining a safe working environment is essential for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move and stack materials to appropriate storage locations.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all warehouse Safety standards.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE .
- Support other warehouse functions as needed to ensure smooth Logistics flow.
- Observe all traffic rules within the warehouse.
Valid forklift operator certification is required. Proven experience operating various types of forklifts. Must be able to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds, and work in a physically demanding role. Ability to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. A strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and the importance of PPE . Reliability and a strong work ethic.
