Join our team as a skilled Forklift Operator in Huntsville, Alabama! We are looking for experienced individuals who can safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is critical to the smooth functioning of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trailers, transporting goods within the warehouse, and ensuring proper inventory management. A strong emphasis on safety, attention to detail, and adherence to operating procedures is required. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification or demonstrable experience, a keen awareness of their surroundings, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You will be expected to conduct daily pre-operation checks on your forklift to ensure its safe and efficient performance. - Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Transport goods to and from designated warehouse areas.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Utilize appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist with order picking and packing as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving significant lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Experience in a high-volume logistics environment preferred.
