Join our growing team as a Material Handler in Houston, Texas, a key player in our logistics network. We are seeking reliable and safety-conscious individuals to manage the flow of materials within our warehouse. Responsibilities include operating forklifts and other equipment, receiving and stocking inventory, and preparing materials for shipment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. You will be integral to our supply chain, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all material handling tasks. Adherence to all safety regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe Lifting practices, is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely.
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials accurately.
- Move and organize inventory to optimize warehouse space.
- Pick, pack, and stage materials for outgoing logistics.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment.
- Ensure a clean, orderly, and safe work area at all times.
- Practice safe Lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in material handling or warehouse operations is required.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and the use of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical coordination.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Understanding of logistics principles.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
