Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist for our Phoenix, Arizona distribution center. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring optimal stock levels to support our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures and policies.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify accuracy of inventory records.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and work with procurement and operations teams to ensure adequate stock.
  • Manage the receiving and put-away process to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to minimize damage and maximize space utilization.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and promote a safe working environment.
  • Assist with the implementation and use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory tracking.
  • Support other logistics functions as needed, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Must be able to perform tasks that involve occasional lifting.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and computer systems (e.g., WMS, ERP).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Experience with logistics and supply chain operations is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require occasional lifting and movement of materials.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
