We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for our state-of-the-art facility in San Jose, California. This critical role ensures the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout our warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. Maintaining a safe work environment is our top priority, and adherence to all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE is mandatory. You will operate various types of forklifts, so a valid certification and a proven track record are essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials, equipment, and finished goods.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and arrange inventory according to established procedures.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Support other warehouse operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Familiarity with different types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE.
