We are actively recruiting a reliable Material Handler for our facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This position is vital for the movement and organization of materials throughout our warehouse, supporting our extensive logistics network. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, staging, and transporting materials, ensuring efficient workflow and inventory accuracy. A strong commitment to Safety, adherence to procedures, and the physical ability to handle materials are essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and shipments.
- Inspect materials for damage and verify against shipping documents.
- Stage materials in designated areas for production or distribution.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes (training provided if necessary).
- Transport materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, adhering to 5S principles and promoting Safety.
- Follow all company Safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Support overall logistics and supply chain operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a material handling or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving significant Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery is a strong asset.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Commitment to wearing and maintaining all required PPE.
