We are seeking a reliable Shipping Clerk to join our logistics operations in Durham, North Carolina. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately processed, documented, and dispatched on time. Your responsibilities will include verifying order accuracy, selecting appropriate packaging, preparing shipping labels and documentation, and coordinating with carriers for pickup. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure a smooth and efficient shipping process. A detail-oriented approach and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role. You must be proficient in using shipping software and possess good communication skills. Adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This position involves some lifting and requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Our logistics success depends on the precision and efficiency of our shipping department. Responsibilities:
- Verify accuracy of orders being prepared for shipment.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product safety.
- Generate and apply shipping labels and documentation accurately.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with shipping carriers.
- Track outgoing shipments and resolve any shipping issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support logistics.
