Join our growing logistics team in Fort Worth, Texas, as a Receiving Clerk. This position is fundamental to the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that all incoming shipments are processed accurately and promptly. You will be the first point of contact for goods entering our facility, responsible for unloading trucks, inspecting items for damage or discrepancies, and verifying against purchase orders and packing slips. Accurate data entry into our warehouse management system (WMS) is critical. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with RF scanners and basic computer skills are beneficial. Safety is our utmost priority, and all employees are required to follow strict safety protocols, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This role demands physical stamina, as it involves significant lifting and moving of goods. We are dedicated to maintaining a safe and productive logistics operation, and your role is essential to its success. Training on safe lifting techniques and warehouse safety best practices will be provided to ensure your well-being within our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Inspect all goods for damage and verify quantities against shipping documents.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Identify and report any discrepancies, shortages, or damages to management.
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the receiving dock area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics flow.
