A new opportunity exists for a skilled Shipping Clerk in our Chicago, Illinois location. We are seeking a highly organized and efficient individual to manage the dispatch of goods. This role is fundamental to our supply chain, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to our customers. If you have experience in shipping documentation and coordination, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process all outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare necessary shipping documents, including manifests and labels.
- Verify order details against shipping contents and customer information.
- Coordinate with trucking companies for freight pick-ups and deliveries.
- Maintain organized records of all shipments and tracking numbers.
- Ensure all packages are properly packed and secured for transit.
- Uphold company Safety standards and ensure the correct use of PPE.
- Communicate with internal teams regarding shipment status.
- Assist with loading/unloading when required, adhering to Safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar Logistics role.
- Familiarity with various shipping software and carrier platforms.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle minor Lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Strong understanding of shipping procedures and supply chain operations.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
