Job Summary:
We are hiring an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Sacramento, California. This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory within the logistics framework. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing measures to improve inventory accuracy. You will utilize inventory management software and work closely with warehouse staff to ensure that all stock movements are accurately recorded. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of inventory control procedures are essential. Safety in the warehouse environment is paramount, and all specialists must adhere to strict safety guidelines and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management system (WMS) software.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify and tag damaged or obsolete inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including proper use of PPE.
  • Recommend improvements to inventory control processes and systems.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software (WMS) and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory principles.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
