We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our warehouse team in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency and organization of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and moving materials throughout the facility. Key duties include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, picking orders, and preparing items for shipment. A strong emphasis is placed on Safety, and adherence to all established protocols, including the use of required PPE, is mandatory. We are looking for individuals who are physically capable, detail-oriented, and possess a strong work ethic. The role involves regular physical activity, including significant Lifting of materials up to 50 lbs. Prior warehouse experience is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Sort and store inventory in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization.
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual equipment to move materials.
- Pick and pack orders accurately based on received requisitions or pick lists.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling and staging for transport.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work area, adhering to all Safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Wear all required PPE and follow all Safety procedures diligently.
- Report any Safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or inventory discrepancies to supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals in logistics.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including consistent Lifting of up to 50 lbs, standing, and walking.
- Basic understanding of warehouse Safety principles and logistics operations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
