We are seeking a dependable Material Handler to join our growing team in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement and organization of materials within the warehouse. This includes operating various types of equipment to load, unload, transport, and store materials. Your efficiency and attention to detail are key to maintaining smooth operations and preventing delays in our logistics chain. You'll be working in a dynamic environment where Safety is a top priority, and adherence to all protocols is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload materials.
- Transport materials from receiving areas to storage locations and from storage to staging areas.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas, ensuring proper placement and labeling.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification.
- Perform pre-operation checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Ensure all materials are handled in a manner that prevents damage or loss.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator is required.
- Valid forklift operator certification is a must.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting (up to 60 lbs), bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics principles.
- Strong understanding of Safety procedures and best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
