We are hiring experienced Material Handlers for our Atlanta, Georgia facility. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of materials and products throughout our warehouse, supporting our extensive logistics network. You will be responsible for operating various types of material handling equipment to move, store, and retrieve goods safely and efficiently. A strong focus on safety, operational efficiency, and teamwork is required. This is a key position in ensuring our warehouse operates at peak performance.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move and organize inventory.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from various departments and storage locations.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damage and accuracy.
- Stock inventory in designated racking or storage areas.
- Assist with cycle counting and physical inventory audits.
- Maintain equipment and report any issues or needed repairs promptly.
- Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be committed to following all safety regulations and wearing mandated PPE.
