We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. Your work is integral to our supply chain and logistics operations, ensuring that materials are available when and where they are needed. This position requires a strong understanding of material handling equipment, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic warehouse environment. You will handle a variety of materials, contributing to the overall productivity and success of our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment within the warehouse.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of materials.
- Receive and process incoming inventory, verifying quantities and quality.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting procedures.
- Maintain equipment in good working order and report any issues.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Keep the work area clean and free from obstructions.
- Support the logistics team by ensuring timely movement of goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of material handling equipment and warehouse safety protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Must comply with all safety regulations and wear mandated PPE.
