We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our vital logistics team in Washington, D.C. This role is essential for the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center, ensuring timely loading and unloading of trucks and accurate placement of inventory. As a Forklift Operator, you will operate various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and effectively. Responsibilities include moving pallets, loading and unloading trailers, transporting materials to and from different areas of the warehouse, and assisting with inventory management tasks such as put-away and retrieval. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, as well as performing pre-operation equipment checks, is also a key duty. Safety is paramount in this position, and all operators must strictly adhere to all OSHA regulations and company safety policies, including the proper use of PPE. A valid forklift certification is required. This role requires individuals with excellent spatial awareness, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is strongly preferred.
