Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and bills of lading accurately.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Verify that outgoing shipments match customer orders and are correctly packaged.
- Inspect outgoing packages for damage or discrepancies before shipment.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Communicate with internal departments and external customers regarding shipping status.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Assist with organizing and staging outgoing shipments.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related administrative role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and computer systems.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with shipping procedures and documentation.
- Understanding of safety best practices in a warehouse environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
