We are hiring a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team in Denver, Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately preparing and processing all outgoing shipments. Your meticulous work ensures that our products reach our customers safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and customs forms.
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments against order details.
- Package items securely and appropriately for transit, selecting the correct packaging materials.
- Label all packages accurately with shipping information, tracking numbers, and any required hazard symbols.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain organized records of all shipments, including proof of delivery.
- Operate shipping software and warehouse management systems accurately.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks as needed, ensuring Safety.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external carriers regarding shipping status.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or issues in shipping documentation or packages.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as required.
- Perform tasks that may involve some Lifting and moving of packages.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong administrative skills. Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar role within logistics is preferred. A commitment to Safety and accuracy is paramount. Must be proficient with computers and able to learn new software systems quickly. This role requires a reliable and responsible individual who can work independently and as part of a team.
