We are hiring a Material Handler in Dallas, Texas, to support our bustling warehouse operations. This role is integral to the efficient flow of goods through our logistics hub. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials accurately and safely. Your duties will include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, organizing inventory, and ensuring that all items are accounted for. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and products.
- Verify the accuracy of shipments against purchase orders.
- Store materials in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Pick and pack orders accurately for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety guidelines.
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks.
- Assist with loading outgoing shipments.
- Report any damaged or missing items immediately.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and safety.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere.
- Support the overall logistics process by ensuring timely movement of goods.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred. Must have experience operating forklifts or be willing to undergo training. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, is required. Understanding of warehouse safety practices is essential. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
