We are seeking a meticulous Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring all outbound shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and carrier requirements. Your role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and ensuring timely delivery to our customers. You will prepare shipping documents, coordinate with carriers, and track outgoing parcels. We are looking for individuals with excellent organizational skills and a strong understanding of shipping procedures. A commitment to Safety and accuracy is essential. You will work in a dynamic warehouse environment and contribute to the smooth operation of our logistics network. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outbound shipping documentation.
- Verify shipment contents and quantities against orders.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Schedule freight shipments and manage Bill of Lading (BOL).
- Ensure packages are properly labeled and prepared for transport.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update tracking information.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure proper use of required PPE.
- May involve some Lifting of packages, up to 25 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of logistics processes.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
Work Environment:
This role is based in a warehouse setting, which may involve varying temperature conditions. The job requires careful handling of documents and packages. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a safe work environment, including the mandatory use of PPE and adherence to all Safety protocols.
